The Queen's Gambit
Such a fine series that could icon within itself bringing to such a glorious age in television. Me being a person who hasn't watched that many mini series before was pretty pleasant. 2020 sure has it’s short sweet spots that could only be explored through the visual platform of television, I mean god LITERALLY this has one of the most eye pleasing and inspired shots EVER. Not only that, I loved the sequences of pure misery and tragedy that builds up from this journey. I was so emotionally destroyed, the dialogue is hella superb in my opinion. Moments of subtle comedy are also pretty great. Such a sweet series I’d mind checking out, the ending to most should not be a real shocker when going in so... yeah I should just stop at this point. The only thing holding it back sadly was kinda the finale in some ways. I felt as if the route set looked pretty interesting, of course in order for the series to really accomplish such a thing is if it were to expand. Expansion of this easy to tackle story would’ve made it probably less or more of something. By me defining “something” is really my polite way of saying really I could go on to the next part and say oh well this happens, or how that was supposed be a thing. Really it just doesn’t work in any particular fashion, unless you were working with some other genre not of the central course being chess. This in meaning, a closure to where you see what’s going to happen because it was the goal set in place to be accomplished is a thing when brought to the whole world of a board game would make sense but makes a point to where it seems far distant and what you realized all along was that it wasn’t about chess, it was about the lessons being taught. The finale was just not my thing.
Then again, a very emotionally based series that ensures you to keep it’s interest. A very cinematic like way of watching one’s journey unfold. You did again Netflix, fuck Cuties though lol yep. Bish I couldn’t even log dat fuckin film like seriously Netflix?! You green lit, *ahem BOJACK HORSEMAN, like... Bojack Horseman literally set the boundary for me outside television or film in that matter and is probably the most important piece of art I can fully resonate with. Fucking cuties some reverse psychology BULLSHIT ART DOODY, was given the curtesy to be pitched to Netflix. I’ll be honest, the movie would have actually worked for me if Netflix or even the director at some points weren’t given the brains sizes of doorknobs. Sorry this is becoming about cuties which is quite obviously in Jesse Pinkman tone* garbage. Check out The Queen’s Gambit, here’s my life savings for you watching Bojack Horseman at least once, and find “something” out... of... cuties bWAH HA HA HAHA HA!!!
