Before Midnight
Fuck it, this is the realest part of the trilogy, for days i wished of watching films where couples fight but i didn't knew i had it all along with me.
So yeah, the film does not feature long scenes of them walking together and the one they have is not impactful like the previous ones, hence it was cut short, this was probably one of the best decisions Linklater made.
It has a dinner table scene which introduced us to the changed perspectives of the couple, mainly Celine, it was like she is a completely different person or maybe she acted like one because of the miscommunication they had before.
While walking together they realized, how much time has passed and how parenthood affected them, maybe they weren't ready for it back then but they would've been in this state after some years if not then. The walk somewhat tried to ignite the chemistry between the two, still it couldn't help to overcome the differences that grew over time.
Finally, in the hotel room, they had a really big fight, venting out everything they were holding onto themselves, probably one of the best scenes in cinematic history, even interrupted their make out session leading to Celine giving up on him.
In the end, they reconciled because they realize they did it all because they wanted to, not because they were forced and fights like these can never end a relationship, I too believe no single fight can end a relationship, if it's a breakup it's because of some long term issues.
And that's it, that's how one of the best trilogies comes to an end, they live on forever, loving each other, raising their kids, fighting each other and then starting over, 'cause that is love, all this process is love and I do love you baby.
