Kireedam

Kireedam (Crown): Dreams vs Reality Kireedam is a tale about how dream and reality part ways. Sethumadhavan is a young man who is loved by everyone in his family, he is the perfect son and dreams of becoming a police officer. Though his life comes crashing down when he tries to save his father, a cop against a hoodlum and beats him unconscious thus 'defeating' him and becoming a people's hero. In the Godfather, Michael Corleone saved his father in a grave situation and committed his first crime soon after. Though a heroic act yet something that ended his dream of serving the nation and starting his descend into the crime world. This heroic image is soon turned to disgrace by the same people who crowned him as hero. He is being addressed as the new Rowdy, people fear him and his friends use his name to commit petty crimes. His father who is the main figure in his life is disgruntled because of his reputation and somewhat disowns him. As a result he becomes distant from his own family and his quest of survival amidst his declining reputation starts a turmoil within his mind and he starts losing everything he once had. One such example is- when he met his fiancee for the last time and breaks her heart so that she could continue her life ahead without him as he will only bring sorrow to her. In the end he finally face the hoodlum and defeats him but his turmoil got the better of him, and he kills him once and for all, finally losing the last thing left i.e. his dream, thus becoming a criminal. Kireedam is about a boy who was the prince of his family, losing his crown. His dreams getting shattered one by one as he slowly accepts his reality and deciding to live the rest of his life as someone who he never was
