Drive

The movie starts out with an amazingly cool sequence that had me thinking five; it never really reaches that peak again. It probably isn’t a four-star, but it’s too cool not to rate it high. Gosling plays The Driver really well; he exudes coolness and the gosling smile works really well. Mulligan also worked really well with the smile. Cranston is fire, Isaac is cool, Hendricks plays a scared Blanche well. The cinematography is awesome, and the music is fire. I knew nothing about this movie except for Ryan Gosling literally being me, so I was surprised by the brutality and nudity. The elevator scene is cool but also crazy unrealistic. This is probably a three and a half, but I’m in this movie so I gotta bump it up.
