Arrival
Arrival is a masterpiece that speaks to the heart and mind, urging us to learn, listen, embrace, and love. It’s left me in awe in so many ways.
1) as a linguistics student, I’m floored by how the movie portrays language as the foundation of connection and understanding. It’s a powerful reminder that communication is far more essential than we often realize.
2) as a film lover, I’m obsessed with how perfectly everything comes together. The acting, the visuals, and the music??? It’s otherworldly.
3) as a person who wonders about our place in the universe and still hopes that one day humanity might grasp time – or at least get closer to understanding the world – I found Arrival’s take on time, choice, and what it means to be human deeply moving.
There’s so much beauty and meaning packed into these 116 minutes. I’m still processing it, but I already know I’ll be rewatching it more than once :)

P.S. I don’t usually ramble this much in a review, or say things that probably sound obvious, but this one got to me.
P.P.S. I really wish I had watched it earlier.
