Batman Forever
Schumacher understood Batman, and was put down for it. The idea of Batman is inherently ridiculous, the characters silly, and the era he grew up with perfectly got this. As a direct adaption of that, it shines. Over the top, yet it never digs too deep into the territory of Batman & Robin, a walking commercial. Tim Burton's mechanisms of twisted design are carried on, with characters being illuminated in amazing makeup and costume work. I truly think that this is the perfect ode to the fantastical world of Batman. The Dark Knight serves as the monument to Batman's more serious, introspective concepts, while this gives it flowers to what made Batman, well, Batman. We wouldn't have a Dark Knight if it wasn't for the building blocks.
