very cool. Very funny. I wouldn't be surprised if the editor was on cocaine. Pacing is great, doesn't let go at all. The action sequences are peak. And so are the jokes!!!!!

nostalgic. the world building is quite great. johnny depp as willy wonka has got to be the most unexpected great performance i've seen.

bleak. dark. philosophical. filled with moral ambiguity. so many scenes that were highlights. 1) the chase scene in the hotel. 2) the interrogation scene of the "lust" murder. 3) the ending ofc. it's very much horror in a way. incredible performances and incredible direction. it showcases the attachment humans have to sin. how to "not sin" is a long lost fight as it is something embedded in us. it is us. our nature only bound by consequences which peep through every once in a while. the film forces you to see the sad truth as it is. towards the end, John Doe showed that truth. which makes the ending so true to life and great.

This is the level of artistry is something I want to reach someday in my life. it's epic, grand and immersed in sincerity. visually, it cannot be put into words. some scenes feel like a painting with real colors reaching out to me . the world building is surreal, it's immersive and it stays human. it stays childlike. the characters make this even more impressive of a feat.(especially no face). it's beautiful in every sense of the word. and though it's not that emotionally striking right now, what's on the screen is enough to have mad respect towards this film.
