i loved the way they all became their own family and swore to protect each other no matter what if it came back was just so heartwarming even during all of the absolutely horrifying events that took place. the horror element of this film was just amazing and was genuinely scary which i loved. also beverly will always hold a place in my heart she is just such a great character to watch and the way she dealt with her father by the end was so powerful and inspiring. there is some really good messaging in this film about standing up for yourself and embracing being different, which despite this being a horror film has such a huge impact on those watching it. also the fact that it’s set over the summer break just makes it really feel like summerween has begun. overall i really enjoyed watching it and i’ll definitely rewatch over halloween!!
