Thief

this is the coolest movie ever made. there is not an ounce of elegance or over-insistence to this gritty, suave masterpiece— it lets the script speak for itself. james caan pulls off a generational performance as the streetsmart safecracker in the classic “one last job and im out” story. michael mann shows here in his first feature why he should be considered in the conversation of greatest of all time. deserves a rewatch as soon as possible.
