The Penguin
i can’t believe i’ve been putting this off cos i didn’t think it would be that good. i didn’t think the penguin from the gotham series could be topped but this one does and it was the first time they actually made penguin likeable (until the end) and i still can’t believe how ugly they made him no offence it looks so real.
sofia falcone also one of the best dc female characters after this show no wonder she got so many awards for it. epsiode 4 was the best episode thanks to her. as good as oswald was the show always peaked when it would focus on her.
really good take and aesthetic on gotham city as well i think that universe might have the best gotham. just feels way different to any other superhero franchise and subverts all expectations.
slow start at the beginning but eventually it was just plot twist after plot twist always that were rlly creative and clever and had me on the edge of my seat. a fitting end for penguin and sofia and victor. penguins mum had a really interesting storyline too. very good pacing and the hour long episodes were worth and and needed unlike some shows (euphoria).
and really good teases at the end with the selina kyle letter and the bat signal but makes me more confused as to why catwoman won’t be in the batman 2 but whatever i guess. i am jealous of whoever gets to watch it for the first time again i think i even enjoyed it more than the batman
