I, Tonya
You don't marry dumb, you fuck dumb
This is one of those biopic that changes your perspective on everything, I had heard about Tonya's case (and thought she was the bad one) but never the full story, is terrifying how a woman ends up being the villain of a story told in the wrong way. Everyone is a product of their circumstances, and Tonya is not exception, a leaving father, an aggressive (to say the least) mother and a horrible husband. Honestly this shows how a single decision can fuck up your whole life. Media has the power of changing people's lives, specially with lies, it was Tonya's word against the whole press telling a sensationalized story that painted her as the devil of figure skating, thanks to this movie, the world can see her story and finally (kinda) bring justice.
This film is great, the skating scenes are literally perfectly replicated, the cast is amazing and they made 'em kinda look like the real people (especially the mother). Margot gives it all, and the "documentary" format the film has makes it even better, I loved it sooo 5/5
