David Lynchs films are the dreams u see, when both of your noses are blocked, u have a 104 degree fever, ur wrapped in 2 sheets of blanket cz ure so cold, ur head is getting hammered. And its 3 in the night when ur all so sweaty.
Okay this movie totally is a mindfuck. Honestly, this movie is the best mindfuck movie ive ever seen maybe surpassing oldboy due to the sheer erratic eeriness of this movie. Ive always told, i love movies which shows action with their eyes, their expressions and their emotions and not always raw dialogue. The symbolism in this movie was absolutely amazing. What i think of this movie was that how david wanted to show the true decaying nature of contemporary industrialism. Henry was completely adrifted from this world in the film.
His society or his environment is plagued by the dark-side of industrialization which is evident yk when the boy took his plastered fake decapitated head and he was paid, showing the greedy part of this world. The baby was made that way cz david wanted to show how henrys life was nit at all ordinary. The only ordinary part was bis affair with the beautiful girl. The part most normal in this movie was the sex scene. Imagine bro. The most normal part lmao.
I also have a theory that the design structure of the baby was prolly thought of by david when he was erasing something. Yk those dark stringy stuff that comes out as residue after youve rubbed smth with a pencil. Maybe thats why??. Hence the name eraserhead lmao. Ig we will never know.
Its a really good film. Id rewatch. But ina very specific moment of my life. The rewatch value imo would be quite low for sure.
