even better the second time around knowing the songs and everything this was amazing first time i watched i didn’t like the way they portrayed hades and persephone, because i really hate stories where they are portrayed as a happy couple (ik that’s not what this story is but it still leans that way, especially towards the end obviously). i liked it a lot more this time around, the portrayal of persephone specifically. i think it’s really really interesting how they took the initial story of persephone being a young maiden kidnapped from her mother and sold into marriage, and took that a step further showing what that girl would’ve turned into as she grew up. she’s unhappy and coping and trying to make the best of what she’s got (like her mother told her to) like many women who were married off at a young age had to do. sorry for being a hater before i do like it a lot better now i still stand by not liking reeves voice in this im sorry it’s just not for me i don’t like a lot of the choices he made all in all though this is so good 😭😭 if i don’t get tickets to see it live ill kms ALSO THE FATES OH MY GOD !!!!!!!! my favorite part both times i’ve seen it oh my god they were AMAZING. the fact that they’re the wind following eurydice, putting her candle out (killing her), taking her bag and coat (killing her) ETC ECT !!!! eurydice is always running away and what she’s running away from is her fate and she still falls in love with orpheus in spite of herself because she can’t escape it oh my goddddddd
