Ever since the announcement of this film was made, I’ve been anxiously awaiting it. I had faith it could be *great, *as Lord & Miller always come through. However, it being a book adaption, - but not only ***a ***book adaptation, but an adaptation of my* all-time favorite book - *i tried super hard to keep an open mind. But i was nervous as it’s shown time and time again that book-to-screen adaptations fall flat. Upon second viewing, I can say with certainty that this is *wonderful*. Visually stunning! Incredibly funny! So much heartache within! I think this is a near-flawless adaptation. Not only that, but a near-flawless film, as well, I think. I’ll sit on it a while more but right now I can’t think of anything that really fell flat. *Perhaps *the only thing I missed within this is the science aspect. The science within is what makes this story as brilliant as it is, and shows just how smart of a writer Andy Weir truly is. However, though I missed it, you could still see just how brilliant both Grace and Rocky are, so it really is just a nitpick. Yeah I just think this is absolutely incredible. This is Ryan Gosling at the best I’ve personally ever seen him. He truly was made for this role, I’m not sure anyone else could have pulled off Ryland Grace as perfectly as he did, and that’s a huge compliment coming from *me, *someone who loves these characters with everything in me. I think the only thing I’d improve upon is honestly it could have been longer, surprisingly enough! The beginning could have been more drawn out and taken a little longer for things to develop! I’m sure everyone is aware how *rare *it is to get not only a *story this special, *but for a book as *incredible *as this one have a film adaptation that is possibly *as *or *nearly* as good. Yeah. *Project Hail Mary* really is just…… *so* special <3 Amaze! Amaze! Amaze!

I quote “the laaaaast melooon” too often & I fear no one ever knows what I’m talking about
