What absolutely blows me away about this movie is how despite being in the narrative of the Vietnam war, all the topics in the movie feel incredibly similar to those which are being spoken about in our modern age. The chairmen blame communism, Our government blames antifa. Its incredibly horrific and terrifying how the events of the movie feel so close to what could and realistically probably is happening in the world today. Modern America needs this movie to be televised to the masses, show them the faults. The government oppression of the youth is visible in this movie, and the world needs to see it.

Just really fucking bizarre. David Lynch yet again gives a movie that both surprises and confuses me in various ways. I have to say this being his last feature length film is not surprising at all, as I can understand where the general appeal of the movie is lacking. A confusing and profound movie that twists and turns through various different moments of various different narratives, yet all intermittently connected and in the end bringing (somewhat) a sense of cohesion. The movie being filmed digitally compared to the usual film made movies was an interesting change and is noticeable from the first frames. The handheld cam corder aesthetic of the cinematography is very present throughout the entire movie. The themes of the movie are somewhat hard to grasp, with visually the movie at times being extremely jumbled, but I think thats the point of the film. Where some directors hand the themes of their films on platters to the audience, David Lynch makes an effort to intentionally confuse the audience and ask themselves questions on the film. A deeper level of understanding. Very good movie. Also holy shit Terry Crews.

Really good, had lots of fun watching it!

Just a really good movie. A pretty unique story and really good acting. Really good camera work too.
