Still a really solid way to finish off the trilogy. It’s not quite as good as the first two, but it’s still a lot of fun and deserves more love than it gets. I do love that they basically went, “fuck it, let’s make it a western”, and somehow it works. It was probably also one of the first westerns I ever watched as a kid. It was also cool getting to learn more about *Doc* and his family. And that time travelling train at the end is still one of the most badass things in the whole trilogy. I honestly think this film gets way too much hate. It might not reach the same heights as the first two, but it’s still an entertaining, satisfying ending to one of the best trilogies ever made.

Really educational, *Pixar *should do more 2D animation. [Pixar Shorts (RANKED)](https://boxd.it/VG0wY)

I’m actually surprised this has gone down in my rankings on a rewatch. It’s still a really solid, chaotic rollercoaster of a film. There’s never a dull moment, every scene is packed with absolute madness and *Scorsese* somehow keeps the energy at full speed for three hours. The needle drops are great as well. I am still a bit torn on *Jordan Belfort* though. He’s an absolute piece of shit, and while films like this usually give you something to connect with or redeem in the main character, this one really doesn’t. Apart from being absolutely hilarious, I never really understood why I was supposed to root for him. *DiCaprio* is great, but I never thought this was the *Oscar* performance people make it out to be. I also don’t think the *Academy* was ever going to reward this kind of character or story anyway. *Matthew* *McConaughey* absolutely kills it in the short time he’s on screen, which almost makes it feel like a waste that he isn’t in it more. Even if this has dropped a little for me, *Scorsese* is still the GOAT. A really fun rewatch, just one that left me with a more questions than it did the first time round.
