if i cut now, do you think eywa will come to save him? this movie is an absolute blast when you don’t have a bitch in your ear telling you it isn’t. like i genuinely don’t understand the hate or criticism this movie gets, i really don’t. people argue & complain at how this just reuses the same story from the previous two, but if you enjoyed the previous two i really don’t get what the problem is. not every movie needs an insanely different or compelling plot/storyline. cameron has a story & a method with these movies, they made over 2 billion so it clearly works!! he could make the rest of the avatar movies using this same method & i will be seated every time bc they are just that entertaining. the movie is a visual spectacle, it’s absolutely gorgeous in every way, shape & form. for the runtime being 3hrs 15min, i genuinely didn’t feel any of it. i wasn’t bored, i wasn’t checking the time to see how much was left, i was intrigued & interested throughout the whole thing. there’s points where the visuals look a little too clear if that makes sense, like ridiculously clear where i’m like second guessing whether pandora exists or not lol. but everything from the ash people, to the water people, to the forest people it all looks so so good! quaritch & varaang stole the show for me in this one. quaritch was actually hilarious & by the end i genuinely didn’t want him to die, i want him to keep coming back every time bc he’s just that cool in this one. him & jake & beat each other to death 37 times & just put a pin in it to continue another day & i’m all for it. varaang was such a great addition to the na’vi, she’s psychotic, evil, sexy, ruthless, gave us our first ever avatar kamikaze, i just wish we would’ve seen more of her. that’s where this movie drops slightly for me, for it to be called fire & ash we didn’t get much fire or ash compared to the way of water taking place legit the entire time in or by the water. i wish we would’ve dove more into the ash people’s culture, more into their home base by the volcano, more into how they embraced their “ash”-ness, wildlife that was affected by the fire & how they live now. most of this was just the human people going against jake & his family & the fire people are there for a bit kinda. i also really really really wanted neytiri & varaang to run back the one’s, there’s no way neytiri loses that first fight & doesn’t get a second chance for more!! another small gripe i have is the kiri + spider romance, like you can tell they care about each other but to take it a step deeper romantically just wasn’t necessary in my opinion. they could’ve just stayed friends who care a lot for each other & that’s it, i really would’ve preferred to see lo’ak & tsireya’s relationship build a bit more. other than that, i enjoyed this one a ton. so many beautiful moments, so many beautiful shots & aura filled moments. varaang & quaritch stole the show for me, the visuals is just beyond impressive & its a great addition to the avatar saga! 2025 ranked

the maze is one thing, but you kids wouldn’t last one day out in the scorch. if the elements don’t kill you, the cranks will. this is one of those instances where the movie takes a complete 360 from the book, but it works & is somehow just as good as the book. almost everything is different, especially the ending but whats crazy is i genuinely enjoyed the movies ending a bit more than the books ending! the entire mall sequence is probably my favorite part of the movie, where we’re first introduced to the cranks & how strong/fast they are & it just created this tension for that sequence that i loved & it carried over to the thomas/brenda tunnel escape sequence (which i also loved). the cranks look solid too btw, like their overall zombified look, the way they move, they all look so cool. then the ending with them taking minho i actually really liked bc it made me wanna watch the third one even more. bc in the book, thomas is actually the one who gets kidnapped, but them switching it to minho for the movies storyline was a solid move. also, teresa can kick the fattest rocks ever that dumb snitching rat ho. overall, my fav of the franchise, loved the sequences with the cranks, loved thomas sliding under the closing door, loved the running, loved that we got giancarlo esposito, brenda > teresa anyday of the week & another movie where we see dylan obrian’s awesome acting! maze runner ranked

let me tell you something, greenie. you’ve been here three days, alright. i’ve been here three years.yeah, you’ve been here three years & you’re still here, gally. alright, so what does that tell you, man? maybe you should start doing things a little differently. as someone who has read these books, this movie rocks. it’s almost very similar to the book, just a few changes here & there but nothing drastic either & i appreciate that. i think the chemistry between the guys in the maze works really well, i think the maze itself looks awesome & there’s a bunch of really awesome sequences throughout! dylan has always been a good actor, i thought this since his role back in teen wolf (specifically void stiles) & i like seeing him in roles where he gets to showcase his skill. & throughout the three movies he does extremely well. he’s badass in this one, very ballsy, goes against the rules, questions everything but wants the answer & i believe thats what makes him a good leader. gally is such a little diva bitch lmao, like his character is such a hater & will poulter does a great job at making you not like his character! minho is a sick character too, newt is just big daddy newt (deserved better) & teresa can kick rocks :) that one sequence where minho & thomas first find the griever lair & then have to run back while the maze begins shifting was so sick. them running for their lives as you see the blades begin to close, the walls of the maze changing, really well done it looks badass as hell! probs my favorite sequence of the movie. ps: i’ll never forgive gally for what he did to chuck maze runner ranked
