still holds a close place to my heart with nostalgia, specifically the memories of being absolutely terrified of the poster as a kid and a avoiding contact with it at the video store. but honestly, after a proper re-watch It just wouldn’t be as good if it weren’t for Tim Curry’s performance as Pennywise, hilarious, memorable and terrifyingly unsettling even for a 90’s tv movie. even with it’s narrative stumbles (similar to the book especially the second half), it’s somehow still effective in shining with the beating heart of the It novel that’s shown through the power of friendship, corny but it works. a sometimes long winded watch that’s still entertaining, sometimes actually scary and as a child of the 90’s, a strangely comforting watch.
