undertone

I went into this film wanting to enjoy an audio based horror film. What I got was a horror film that unfortunately doesn't play with it's concept very much until near the very end. The plot is very basic stuff which is fine if it's interesting, but for me I just couldn't care for the characters at all. The script here is also just terrible with dialog that makes me cringe in the worst ways possible. The final act/ending is pretty cool and they really lean into the "audio horror" aspect of it. But other than that I don't have anything good to say about the film whatsoever.
