NANA
it was nothing like i’ve seen before in an anime, it just felt so human. The way each characters are written, the complex relationships that each of them has, this was one of the most realistic depictions of the complexities of human relationships. While the anime itself has moments of joy and lightheartedness, it also delves into the darker aspects of life, with themes like heartbreak, betrayal, abandonment, career pressures and sacrifices, substance abuse, identity and self worth, loss, grief, makes it’s realism incomparable to any animes that i’ve seen before, it was a hell of a rollercoaster ride. but for the love of god WTF WAS THAT ENDING 😭😭😭 DONT LEAVE ME HANGING LIKE THAT BRUHHH I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED (this shattered me. made me fucking miserable)
