Vertigo
Wow, just wow. I’m absolutely blown away by*
Alfred Hitchcock’s *Vertigo, it’s a powerful story about obsession, identity, and impossible love. The spiral motif shows Scottie’s mental downfall, his obsession, and how he gets trapped in a cycle of longing and loss, while the duality of Judy and Madeleine explores the fragility of identity. And the film’s stunning cinematography like oh my goodness it’s just an absolute feast for the eyes, the writing of the film is deep and full of twists, and every moment feels important, it’s simply so ahead of it’s time. The film shows how fragile people can be and how dangerous it is to chase something perfect that doesn’t exist.
