Moxie
I love this movie. I’m a very proud feminist and I really loved it. It was giving very much ready, like when I was watching it today I was like yeah they’re definitely going to do a Radio Rebel type of couple, and guess what, they did. Before I finished it I looked at some reviews and a lot of people were saying that she shouldn’t have been white and that her being white makes the story less beautiful. I understand that perspective, but at the same time her being white has nothing to do with the message. The whole point was that women are equal to men and women deserve better. Her being white does not change that message or how you should view the movie. If you actually watched the movie, her friend literally acknowledged that her being white gives her more opportunities, and that as a person of color she does not have the same advantages, especially since she is not from that country. That topic was deeper than people are making it seem. This movie was really good. Everything felt natural. I did not feel like they were trying too hard. They definitely got the message across. It was amazing and such a great film.
