Baby Driver

This was acc such a good movie and I rlly appreciate how it didn’t need loads of flashy cgi and a rlly big budget to be as good as it was. It was just such a realistic and unique concept for a movie and it acc feels quite real.  Firstly, I acc loved Baby as a character and thought that he was rlly interesting and even though he didn’t speak much I feel like he was such a relatable character and the fact that he didn’t talk much made him even more interesting. I am kind of surprised the accident with his parents wasn’t talked about more cause it was main reason of how he turned out the way he did. At first I thought the music was bit weird but it rlly grew on me throughout the movie and I think it was an amazing aspect. I loved how he didn’t rlly become a worse person throughout the film and how he didn’t willingly go back to getaway driving but instead he was more forced back into it. Even as he commit more crimes like killing and shooting the criminals he still stuck to his morals and only did it if it was necessary for getting back to Debora. I’m kind of surprised Jon Bernthals character didn’t come back later on cause imo he left more of an impact that darling and buddy after the first heist I loved darling and was so shocked when she  died but my only complaint was that i wish she acc got closer to baby cause i feel like they would of had a rlly cute dynamic Bats kind of annoyed me a bit like sometimes he was kinda funny but he was just always doing too much. He was kind of the same as Jon bernthal at the start where he was rlly intense around baby and kept trying to make him feel threatened but baby just kept rage baiting him by acting so nonchalant. I was acc so scared he would just kill Deborah in the diner but I’m glad he didn’t. I’m also glad when he died and that scene was rlly cool just when he kept yelling at baby telling him to move AND THEN BABY GOT HIM IMPALED!! Omg baby was acc that guy and it was bats’ time to go. I kind of loved how buddy was the villain at the end cause I thought it was cool how it was two getaway drivers trying to stop each other. I also fully got his intentions for wanting revenge but I was glad when he died. I was kind of shocked cause I lowk thought he’d be rlly nice to baby and he would understand why he wanted to leave and stuff but then he just wasn’t having it. I liked the diner scene at the end but idk why that one police officer didn’t question anything when he literally saw baby’s face covered in blood and bruises and it was clear Deborah was freaking out. I hated doc cause he did just go back on his deal with baby after years of keeping his end of it and I thought it was rlly unfair. I get how he’s a bad guy but idk why he just didn’t blackmail him in the first place. I also rlly didn’t get when he helped baby and Deborah at the end cause it felt rlly random and idk if it was supposed to seem like he redeemed himself or smth but he was the problem in the first place. Also idk why he randomly brought his nephew on a recon mission I LOVED JOSEPH SO MUCH HE WAS ACC MY FAVE AND IF HE DIED I WOULD HAVE ACC BEEN INCONSOLABLE. He was so cute and I was terrified he died when bats knocked baby out and went to his house. The scene at the end with him and baby where baby recorded a message for the people so that they would look after him was so cute and I acc almost cried. Deborah was kind of fun to especially near the end where her and baby were trying to get away from buddy and she started hitting him with the crowbar. I will be honest she was a bit weird and at the start I wasn’t a fan but she grew on me. I loved her relationship with baby cause they were both rlly awkward tg and it was rlly sweet. Idk why she was so obsessed with leaving and never returning cause didn’t she literally have a family. The end was amazing and was by far my fave moment of the film. The way all the people baby was kind too even while committing crimes defended him was rlly sweet but I liked how he got a sentence cause that’s acc realistic and there was also chance of parole in five years. The way Deborah was waiting outside for him in the car so that they could drive off tg was acc a perfect ending especially cause there was a flash forward if it earlier. Some bits of this film were kind of slow tho imo like the first heist after baby goes back to the job was kind of boring and I didn’t rlly get what was going on especially with the shootouts and stuff. It was just a rlly good movie and it didn’t feel too long but also it didn’t feel like it was too rushed. Defo recommend
