The Devil Wears Prada
-Omg I acc love this film sm I dont even know how to start
-Obvs I need to mention the vibe cause I’m convinced 2000 films like this are some of the best films oat and I loved the grainy look that I just know the new film won’t have.
-Andy is such a good character and on paper she seems like she’d be such a pick me “I’m so different” type of girl but with her I feel like she’s just rlly likeable and even when she becomes more brutal throughout I still love her
-I obvs love Miranda and I love how she even had some weak moments like when she was getting a divorce and Andy walked in on her crying cause I feel like that made her sm more realistic and relatable while still being rlly powerful.
- Emily was probs my fave character but I wasn’t always loving her fashion and some scenes her eyeshadow was acc too much she looked like a clown. I did feel rlly bad for her and I liked how her and Andy become friends throughout just for Miranda to make Andy make a choice that would destroy it all. I do wish Emily did thank Andy at the end when she gave her all of the clothes from Paris cause I loved the bits where she was nice to Andy and just wished it ended like that.
- I loved Nigel and it’s quite sad that he’s in the second one cause that probs means that Miranda never helped him get a promotion even after she took one from him to save herself
- idrk how to feel abt Andy’s friends and bf like some scenes they were good but othered they were just kind of nothing
- one thing I didn’t get is how loads of people at runway kept saying or suggesting that Andy was fat cause literally in what world would they not have clothes that fit her
- I just rlly love this film and though I don’t think it needed a second one I am still excited for it
