WALL·E
People slept on Ratatouille and now it’s getting the attention it deserves; WALL·E should be next. WALL·E is a work of art, and its beginning is a masterclass of a first act. Some of the best parts of Pixar movies are when they’re not relying on dialogue as a crutch and instead using expertly crafted visuals and music to tell a story. Consequently, when the humans enter Walle, it becomes a worse, but still great movie. My biggest problem with WALL·E is how uninteresting the villain is, but with how small a role he ends up playing that’s easy to overlook. Also, what spectacular character design to make you care so much about a boxy trash robot and his romance with a conical death robot.
