Painfully realistic story of people using one another for their commodities. The most down to Earth tale you can get, abt a billionaire trust fund kid.
Anora is a compelling protagonist. They did good at showcasing her personality through accent, clothes, and general insane actions.
Igor side plot is a welcome addition. If we had to deal w only nepo kid the whole time it would be insufferable.
Group of Russians grows on you by the end of the film. Fun gang
Ending scene is incredibly sad, possibly my favorite in the film. Beautifully shows Igor’s build of care for Anora throughout the film. (Bro snuck her the ring)
Shows us how Anora sees value within herself. When presented w possibly the only act of true kindness within the film she immediately greets the gesture with sex. She is myopically stuck, unable to see how Igor sees her value beyond her physical.From the moment she first kicked the other Russian dude and broke his nose bro was in.Final scene is amazing non-verbal communication of how our final two main characters see themselves and their relation w one another.
Do want to note that while I really like Anora as a character, irl my bro Igor needs to run for the hills. Ain’t an Igor’s job to be out here fixing Anoras.
