Michael
Coming from someone who loves all of Michael Jackson's discography and didn't know much about his personal life, I dig this a lot. My earliest memories of Michael Jackson are from 2017 when Despicable Me 3 came out. I would replay the opening sequence hundreds of times. The scene featured a villain singing along to BAD.
Did I enjoy Michael? Yes! Do I think it was unique compared to other biopics? No. Coming from the King of POP, I felt they should have made this movie more unique. I still enjoyed the film; the music was amazing. I wish they had covered some deep cuts, but Michael Jackson has so many hits that even his lesser known songs aren't really deep cuts... I know this movie didn't dive into the controversies. That makes sense since it was handled by the Michael Estate. Not to preach, but (MICHAEL NEVER DID THOSE THINGS). Outstanding performances from Colmen Domingo and Jafar Jackson. We need to get Jafar in more projects after Michael: The Story Continues. Lastly I haven't felt this emotional in a movie since Project Hail Mary.
