Heat
I loved this movie, with Robert De Niro playing a skilled bank robber/heist master, and Al Pacino playing a coked-up (unproven, but you can see it) detective determined to track him down. This movie was so visually good-looking, and the different shots that you see make this movie a timeless classic that will probably go down in the history books as one of the greatest heist/crime movies of all time, with it inspiring games like Grand Theft Auto and an actual bank robbery in North Hollywood, causing a full-on shootout. Al Pacino's acting in this movie felt tense, like he was constantly frustrated, but then we saw this other side of him when he was talking to his daughter (Natalie Portman) and when he took her to the hospital because of her attempted suicide. We also see a vulnerable side to De Niro's character when he is seeing Danny Trejo's character lying half dead on the floor of his house after he had snitched on De Niro and the gang, but De Niro still shows mercy offering to take Trejo to the hospital so he can survive, Trejo later dies by De Niro's hands, reliving Trejo of his pain and suffering. the ending to this movie was so tense it made me sit on the edge of my seat, the chase scene between Pacino and De Niro, they just had so much chemistry. It had to be one of my favourite endings in cinema.
