The lyrics that Sondheim wrote are still incredibly relevant almost 70 years later. West side story is not just a marvel in music and visuals but in feeling. Every piece on every set, the costuming and the lighting transport you into a world that feels so far away in 2026 but yet feels so close to home it hurts. Robert Wise you were the best to ever do it!!!

Fellas, is it gay to write direct and star in a feature film about how much you love your best friend and wouldn’t want to live in a world without them? Absolutely not I’d do the same thing for my Best friend too.
