BLUE EYE SAMURAI

im far from an expert on anime but this felt modern and classic at the same time. unique spin on a commonly used trope where an unstoppable badass with a rough exterior hides a soft/damaged interior. this had layers of depth to its story and characters without being a convoluted mess. animated beautifully and skillfully interweaving drama and action to keep things interesting. handles mature themes and extreme violence well with neither feeling overly done or gratuitous at all. refreshing to see both handled this well in any show at all let alone an animated one. thoroughly enjoyed every minute of all of this and excited to know there's more coming.
