THE OPENING SCENE I’M FUCKING GOING INSANE Y’ALL IT’S PERFECT—THE END BY THE DOORS (ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVER ON THE PERFECT ALBUM THAT I OWN THE RECORD OF OMG) AND THE HELICOPTER SOUNDS PLUS THOSE MERGED IMAGES. They have so many fade transitions and it is my favourite transition ever—I go feral when I see it. There is a dire need for more fade transitions/merging scenes in cinema. The scenes in between the beginning and the end (the best parts of the film; I love how the song continues) pale in comparison. They are not as memorable. Yet, the visuals are great and the journey is entertaining.

I’ve been meaning to see this for a while. When I saw a poster of this film in Athens, I decided it was my sign. The ending was so beautiful that I teared up a bit. I felt the suspense, as Terry walked to the guy at the waterfront. I enjoyed the shaking camera and the alternating shots. I found myself engaged with the characters and their fates. It was nice to see the contrast between Terry and Edie. And, I loved the fights and violence—a stark contrast to *Gaslight* and *Jezebel*, which bored me. I needed to see something more exhilarating. I might be overestimating the film’s quality because of this comparison. Although both the theme and visuals are great, it was not remarkable enough to leave a huge impression.
