Another Round

Martin suffers from depression and he thought he could overcome it by using alcohol. Drinking created a fake confidence for him and decreased his stress levels. He was living a numb life and thanks to alcohol, he could feel those emotions again. I am not praising alcohol but alcohol and Tommy's death allowed Martin to feel alive again. It reminded him that life goes on and contains every kind of emotion. On the other hand, alcohol addiction was never a permanent solution and it can never be. I think excessive alcohol consumption made Tommy feel empty and dragged him into a void. AND maybe it wasn't the alcohol that made Martin realize life continues, it was Tommy's death and his wife leaving him. He experienced many emotions at the same time and this opened a new door of awareness in his mind. The final scene was full of emotion and Mads performed it perfectly. He made us feel all the emotions the character was going through. I hope everyone can live their lives with enjoyment.
