Sonatine

I don't know what it is about Japanese films that makes it so fun to watch them. In spite of being a Yakuza film Sonatine feels like a cool breeze on a beach during a bright,sunny day in a remote village with only a handful of residents. I don't know if I am overthinking this or not but that sunflower at the end of the film could be a refference to Hana-bi (another great film of Takeshi Kitano)
