oh I KNOW dada

First off, I just want to say this was one of the worst cinema experiences I have ever had in my life. Nothing about the film itself but how the people in my theatre acted. PLEASE bring back basic cinema etiquette--no matter how old you are, it's basic courtesy to not talk loudly and refrain from shouting spoilers or whatever comes to your mind. Those who were at Shaw Theatres Jem 4.40pm slot for Project Hail Mary at rows H and J, I hope yall die a slow and painful death. Never going back to Shaw unless it's for IMAX. That kid and his mom at seats H12 and H11, I really really hope he experiences some form of trauma that makes him permanently mute for the rest of his life. Plus a ban from any theatres worldwide and across the universe. Stop fucking shouting during the intense and quiet moments damn. Ruining the immersion for everyone. Okay another rant on how I got myself into this situation. I was so close to booking seats at the largest IMAX my country has to offer, but suddenly everyone in this damn country wants to support cinema. Almost all the timings I was free for was fully booked, and you're not catching me in the first few rows. My favourite local cinema near me was closed for the day, so I had no other choice but to go to another cinema. I might even start a protest or like a program to teach people fucking basic manners and respect to other people. Holy fuck get me out of this damn country. -- Ryan Gosling was literally made to play Ryland Grace, I seriously doubt anyone else could've pulled off that awkward, nerdy teacher like he did. Oh and he's so fine in this oh my gosh. Charming and witty. What more could you ask for? His zero gravity acting was immaculate too, really sold it as though he was in space. Amaze, amaze, amaze. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were sent from heaven to grace us with their 10/10 all rounders. They have never had a bad movie so far, and I really hope it stays like this. Power duo. I am so excited to see what they have in store for Andy Weir's next book adaptation, 'Artemis'. Although I have heard some complaints about the story, I'll watch anything this duo puts on screen. Also just a note, I have started on the PHM book, literally purchased it right after my first screening so I'm super excited for my journey through it. Way more science and extra details. So definitely recommend if you like the movie. I absolutely adore the way humor was sprinkled around the movie, all while keeping its serious tone at times. I will say though there were some scenes to lighten up the mood, but I was not having it at all--my heart was too busy aching to let out any laughs. "A Moment" scene when Grace sees Adrian for the first time was the calm before the storm. Rocky and Grace are so wholesome together, they have such a compelling and sweet bond. I especially love it when Grace realizes that Rocky is truly the only bond worth dying for. Worthy of never going back 'home' because his home is with Rocky. Just a little thing, I love the blurry effect on Graces old memories in the beginning he was trying to remember. So realistic I thought I was crying the first time I watched this (afterwards it wasn't the effects anymore, just me bawling my eyes out over a rock) -- I'm still so pissed about that cinema experience. So that's why I wrote this so late. Trying to let it marinate and sort out my thoughts and feelings. Still love the movie more than anything though.

hmm, maybe I do like space movies, and just hate Arrival. 🤔
