This film made me feel all seven emotions within two hours its such an incredible inspiring film its even better knowing it was based on a true story - i cant even fathom how emotional i felt watching this film, i often say how important films are not just as an art form but as a guide through situations in our life i have recently been experiencing hardship and whenever i do i always find a way back to this film and leave feeling more grace and light on my situation - i love this film because its so enlightening whilst still being rewarding - there were many scenes i felt like i would just break down personally if i was in that situation but Chris continued to fight for his child i gained ambition towards being able to be as courageous as Chris was in many years to come im sure that ambition will have been found and thats the true beauty of film - watching films years later and seeing how your mind has changed throughout years of aging and development - Will Smiths acting in this film was beyond phenomenal - i think he has so much talent that goes unrecognised i knew him from being a comedic genius and from fresh prince but honestly his portrayal of struggle in this film screamed at me through this whole film - i am so glad he won that oscar for the tennis film he was also so great in that he did his big one in this - the second time watching this i thought wow his wife is truly a bitch (sue me) but after growing up a bit since i last watched (its been three years) his wife is so justified and she deserves a life of good for herself i think it must have truly been a hard decision to leave her only child - last but not least i first watched this with my dad and sisters and we all kind of cried (except my dad) i huge factor of rating movies depends on who and where im watching the movie with mostly its by myself but in the occasion i do watch one with someone its either a great experience or a subpar one and i can say either way watching this with my sisters and dad and by myself had no effect this movie was great all times we watched it and it was just great i think this film holds a special place in my heart due to the familiar nature of it - i know what its like to constantly have parents who are just surviving and not living but there is always light at the end of the tunnel and im glad to say it shines bright and makes all the hardship feel worth it , Chris in the crowd towards the end of the film captures exactly that feeling **4th rewatch** ***Romans 8 : 18 “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”***
