This is a movie that really showcases a little bit of everything that’s capable with good filmmaking. It’s serious and poignant, but also extremely funny and silly. It has both amazing original music as well as some of the best needle drops ever. It has excellent human performances, but also amazing puppetry. It made me cry happy tears. It made me cry sad tears. It really is one of the best movie going experiences I’ve ever had. Even the IMAX format was used for story benefit, with everything on earth, being in standard wide screen, and all of the space stuff in imax. I can’t recommend this movie enough. 👎

God this movie is fucking awful. And it’s one of those movies that insists that its lead is the most talented person there, despite that very much not being the case. The music is terrible. Just awful. Go watch Camp instead I beg you.

I’ve never been big into Marc as a stand up but this is easily my favorite of his. He’s such an intensely neurotic dude, constantly at war with his inner self and I relate a lot to it. Listening to him talk about fleeing his house in the fires really made me laugh so hard because as someone who was living in LA when that happened, I can assure you that it’s true that no one knew what was going on. So I relate to his confusion completely.

I’ve been following Chris for years and they are a fucking weirdo. But I just love it so much. They’re so animated and bizarre in every choice and I can’t get enough of it. It’s not the most impactful comedy show ever put together but it’s got plenty of laughs. I am so excited they’re finally getting their flowers.
