Last Breath is based on a true story, following an incident in the North Sea in 2012, where Chris Lemons went without oxygen for over 30 minutes. Yeah I never wanted it do this job before, but after this movie, I’m so glad I’ll never have to do this in my life. This was such a powerful story, it also such a hopeful story in a way, he went so long defying the odds, and still came out on top. The acting was incredible, every single person felt entirely realistic, and their reactions were definitely emotion-provoking. I thought it was kind of odd that he gained all his senses back straight away, and seemed pretty fine, obviously it was based on a true story, so that’s most likely what happened, but it just seems a bit iffy to me. It was very suspenseful at times, especially when he had clipped himself onto the railing, which also showed how smart he is. I thought the scene where his cord snapped and everything when silent was amazing. I think it showed the significance of the scene, as that was the last point they saw him and it was the last point where they had direct connection to him. I would really recommend this movie, it’s interesting and tells such a sentimental story, that everyone should see at least once in their life.

Drop follows the character of Violet as she’s finally getting back into the dating world after the death of her late, abusive husband, but as the date progresses, it doesn’t go according to plan as Violet is bombarded by ‘drops’. This movie is so unrealistic for one reason, no server is that passionate and joyful about their job, maybe it’s because it’s his first day, but after serving Violet’s table, I wouldn’t be surprised if he now hated his job. Parts of this movie just didn’t make sense, I thought the masked man might’ve been the dad, but then they introduce the whole plot about him killing himself, just for him to be alive. I think this created the opposite effect they were going for, instead of everyone being super surprised, I’m pretty sure people would’ve just been left extremely confused. Also how the hell did they know where she lived, I feel like that’s never questioned, I get there’s a masked man in the house, but why did they never think to ask how he got in there and how he knew where she lived. People say the younger generations are always on their phones, but Violet literally did not put her’s down, so I think there’s a bit of hypocrisy going on. Maybe it’s just me, but if someone was spam sending me memes about them not leaving me alone, I wouldn’t randomly open a message off them, but maybe that’s just me. On this point, Violet felt like such a stupid character up until the end, she was constantly doing absurd things, which would never end well. Even at the end, her not spiking the drink was incredibly smart, but why would she ever tell him that, while she was sat across the table from him. Henry was also such a random, sweet character in my opinion, he was always going above and beyond, but realistically why did he take a shot for a woman he barely knew, it just seemed so random. What the hell did they do to ‘Baby Shark’ to make it sound like a wedding theme, next thing you know Drops 2 is going to have that piano version of Baby Shark at Henry and Violet’s wedding, I’m calling it now. The random guy from the beginning being the main villain was so random. I felt really bad for him in the beginning, but by the end I really hated him, I don’t think he was written well. This movie was okay, I’ve seen some pretty high ratings for it, so maybe I personally just didn’t like it, so I’d say give it a shot.
