Wicked

I LOVE MOVIES SO SOOO MUCH I cant believe how much backlash Wicked got (I know it`s widely loved, but there were some weirdos hating on it) for essentially being "too dull" and "not saturated" enough. I understand the expectation for Wicked to look like Wizard of Oz, after all they are related. And I would've loved it even more if it was Technicolor. But you have to understand it`s quite IMPOSSIBLE because Technicolor no longer exists (particularly the three strip process) and shooting Wizard of Oz was quite dangerous and high risk, there was literal fire inspectors!??!!? PEOPLE BE HATING ON SHIT THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT But I digress, movies like Wicked are THE definition of a good movie with an amazing storyline, color-grading and character development. It touched some really important topics such as prejudice, oppression, false narrative and so much more. I absolutely loved the dynamic between Galinda and Elphaba, you can really see how they understood each other on a deeper level. Unfortunately a lot of film studios nowadays have other priorities when making a movie. We have better technology than before, that we just decided to not put as much effort into new productions. In the meantime older movies put their heart and soul into their projects, you can really feel their passion. Wicked felt like that to me, I felt the passion, definitely didn`t disappoint So happy I was able to watch it on IMAX, IT WAS ETHEREAL
