Detachment

From a viewers standpoint, the movie seems disorganized and lacking plot; however, taking the broader spectrum of emotion that comes from this movie, we see that its not about substitute teacher, but the emotion and hardships that the average person faces, especially due to the way others view us. Not only does the plot portray the literal detachment of persons, but it also allows us to explore the emotional separation of the characters. That’s possibly what makes the movie so great, not the acting, cinematography, or writing, though those are factors, but the way it makes you feel after watching, and the way you look back at the world after the movie.
