Squid Game
What a fantastic 8 episode run that got absolutely FUCKED by its finale. Making one of the players actually turn out to be the head of the game is literally the twist straight out of the first Saw. Then you slap the main character in the face by not even giving him a hero’s arc, but instead still be an absolute piece of shit at the end. To top that horrible ending off, they leave it on a cliffhanger that we may never even see resolved because the show runner doesn’t know if he’ll make a second season. As I write this I consider taking a point off. The only reason I don’t is because those 8 episodes before are near perfect.
