I think I watched a pre-production copy bc the cgi is worse than a badly green-screened youtube video but ts is so peak i cant wait for steve and garrett to get married in the next one

i waited far too long to watch this, having been waiting since the trailers released. i got my hands on a dvd copy last week, and i cannot praise weapons enough. this is a story that is told beautifully. the non-linear storyline being reminiscent of recalling a memory, the slow piecing together of small details to reveal a bigger picture, it all works so well to tell such a harrowing tale. a lot of questions were left unanswered, but i think that's part of this movie's charm. one story interpreted so many different ways, using symbolism that can be interpreted to suit all of them. someone can resonate with this movie - and with alex - or not at all, whether that's through the implications of alcoholism/substance abuse, school violence, or domestic violence. this is a movie made to be understood by people who have faced immeasurable troubles in life, and i think it does so wonderfully. i loved weapons, i loved barbarian, and knowing that zach cregger is also one of the amazing minds behind companion makes me even more excited for resident evil and the gladys prequel movie. i should also say that this movie makes me want to wait even less for eli roth's ice cream man later this year - which i have also been interested in since the trailers.

I think I downloaded the wrong sharkboy and lavagirl
