Bones and All

weirdly enough I find that this movie also shows how unconditional the love of a parent can be. Both cannibals that we meet at the start of the movie have been caught by one of their parents at their first “incident” and both parents chose to deny their child’s acts. It is perhaps a mixture of being scared of what might happen to your child but also the hope of it never happening again.  That thought follows with the tape that the dad leaves her. “I don’t know why you did it I just believed that you had to..” trusting your child even with a horrible thing such as eating another human being takes love that you develop by having taken care of that person their entire lifetime. I’m such a sucker for a “good” child and parent relationship..trope(?) Maren might also be one of the smartest horror movie characters for her to always protect herself when going somewhere new or going to sleep,don’t see such things often enough. Lee taking off his shirt after his sister said that he looks like a f* wearing it💔 he just wants to be a bit whimsy omg  Sully was such a weird character to me though.  He was obviously very predatory towards Maren but besides him feeling a sort of connection after they’ve eaten together,I never saw a “point”. Though, with the way he was acting I’m pretty sure there could never be a sane reason found. The whole movie was not that captivating to me up until the point where Lee and Maren lived a normal life together. Something about them settling down and just living made me very happy and content up until Sully had to ruin it.  I guess you can’t really go through a movie called “Bones and all” and then expect to not see it happen
