Superman

If I saw this in theatres I probably would have cried. Like a lot. Anyway art is political and always will be especially if it’s a superhero movie! I loved all of the positive messages shared throughout this movie so much because they are just so incredibly important in our current political climate. I’m not going to lie, I’ve always been kind of a Superman hater due to his fans but this movie changed my mind a lot and I might just get into his comics now! David Corenswet did a phenomenal job acting out not only Superman, the hero/alien that has his very awkward moments that I loved seeing but also Clark Kent! Really enjoyed the detail of him dropping his voice to get more into the whole sona of his. Clarks interview with Lois felt like such an important scene. To me, it really showed how important it is to have a clear stance and morals when it comes to wars(and or genocides, that are still happening btw) and that we can’t just rely on the media who is trying to stay „neutral“. So be a human and educate yourself. Is it bad that my favourite scene or perhaps scenes are the ones where Clark is just relaxing at his families house and wakes up with Krypto on his chest? I love seeing hero’s just relaxing for a change and the „us parents are only here to support you“ talk with mr.mushy/his dad was very heartwarming. OMG ALSO the flag scene??? Wow. I don’t care how „corny“ it was. Everyone praying for the symbol of hope while in crisis and the flag slowly falling down when Superman almost dies was such a good scene. And then the little boy that straightened the pole and „prayed“ for Superman when he got up again? Absolute cinema. And 'cause I’m a punkrocker , yes I am I obviously agree that -jealousy and hatred gets you nowhere -fuck all billionaires/the rich -we are all humans and there is no one worth more or less -green lantern has a way too high ego -if you support war you should reevaluate your values and morals Just cause I can: do we think that Superman almost always starts flying when Kissing Lois? I personally would feel kinda weird being up in the air so suddenly. Though I guess there is no better way to show how „I’m over the clouds“ can feel
