the fact that i can’t really form an opinion about this movie is ironic😭 when the movie ended i heard everyone in the theater saying “omg this was so bad” “nothing happened” “this was mid” LIKE DAMN everybody was hating on this film😭😭 but ngl i kinda do understand the reactions, the movie ended a bit too abruptly. my opinion definitely shifted after i watched some explaining videos, there are more details than it meets the eye! the pacing was not my favorite & some characters/ideas felt unfinished and the movie just felt unbalanced kind of. the psychological part was really interesting, loved the atmosphere, loved the layer stuff! i got irritated when the therapist was moving like 0.5x speed but hey, i probably wouldn’t even last more than 10 mins in the backrooms so who am i to talk😔 it’s really inspiring that a 20-year-old guy made this though!! and for his age he did a good job, a bit half cooked movie but still really enjoyable! the ending felt a bit unfinished, i hope there a sequel or smth :]
