Holy. Fucking. Shit. IM AM GOBSMACKED OR WHAT EVER THOSE BRITS SAY, THIS IS SO FUCKING GOOD. THERE IS LIKE NOTHING BAD IN EXCEPT MINOR PARTS. ITS SO CLOSE TO PERFECT. DANIEL DAY LEWIS YOU ACTUAL BEAST, THIS MAY HAVE BEEN THE BEST ACTING I HAVE EVER SEEN OUTSIDE OF Jagten BRO. UNMATCHED CINEMATOGROPHY. Ok now that i have ranted, i will go into a serious in depth review. This is truly up there with some of the best movies i have ever seen, top 15 probably. Daniel Day Lewis and Paul Dano both gave performances i would call top 10 ever. I never understood Daniel Day Lewis hype, and why he was so loved. Now i do. PTA might be, after just 3 movies watched, in contention for my favourite director ever. Honestly i am a little lost for words after this movie. There was this one part that i loved, and i am sure others did too. First we see the ''Abandoned my child'' scene, and later we see the ''I am a false prophet'' and that contrast alone shoots this movie to levels i can not describe. It digs so deep into greed and envy, more than any movie i have seen to be honest. Somehow both Eli and Daniel are both villains and it works in a way that makes you route for a villain. In my opinions its all PTA's way of shedding light on the middle east. America invades these countries, take their oil and America... well they are heros.... Honestly there is no real reason i can give to why this movie isnt a 5/5, just some pacing issues ig.
