Jojo Rabbit
WWII films always tend to be about the good side and the bad one; but it clearly shouldn’t be that simple. This film depicts the nazi regime from its most “innocent” point of view, which is interesting to say the least. Jojo doesn’t understand what the propaganda he’s consuming is actually saying, we get to see a child being forced to decide between ideals and reality. We get a bittersweet ending, jojo lost almost everything after the war, and that’s exactly what happened to a lot; but he ended up winning humanity.
This isn’t a film about picking the good side, it’s about humanity, that’s what it all should be about anyways…
