this felt like watching a long beautifully shot (frank ocean) music video with the most gut wrenching yet self reflective performances i’ve seen from all the leads.
grief, healing, acceptance, and moving on from what strains us as humans and as a family and realizing what being human is despite our mistakes is what i loved about Waves (2019). the way the story told itself from the perspective of both siblings and how intense tyler part on the contrary of how somber and tranquil emily’s part was, just immaculate.
and yes, many tears were shed.
