I watched this on an iPhone

I had to revisit this movie after reading the novel. On my first watch I didn’t know anything about the movie beforehand and went in completely blind, so the movie felt very intense to me, due to the rape and torture displayed on the screen. Because of this, I feel like I didn’t appreciate all the other aspects of the movie enough: the cinematography, acting, plot, message, score, directing, script etcetera. I feel like one thing I didn’t appreciate enough or even noticed on my first watch was the use of ‘nadsat’ language. After reading the novel I’ve come to realize just how great of a job Kubrick has done adapting the novel into a movie and I absolutely love how alike the language in the movie was to the language used in the book.

Jack Lemmon absolutely disgusted: “GREEN UNDERWEAR?!” God I’ve completely fallen in love with Billy Wilder’s comedies and with Jack Lemmon’s acting.
