I yearned for some comfort film today so i specifically went with Rush Hour 2 which is my favourite film of the Rush Hour trilogy and one of my favourite Jackie Chan movies (im a larper ive only watch like 5-6 of his movies out of the 200 im sorry, stay tuned for Jackie movies upcoming ahead.). This film never ceases to amaze me honestly i love the duo between the genres of comedy and action combines, my personal favourite and also the duo of 2 different cultures working together. My favourite thing about the whole film is the perfect comedic timing of funny and bantering racists lines to eachother. The plot was effortless and it was easy to understand and follow the storyline wth the incredible strong pacing of the movie. I love that the main message of this movie is the strength of true friendship and cultural partnership. Overall, this is one of my favourite comedy-action films from the 2000s and i could watch it a billion times without getting bored.

This film never cease to amaze me it feels like i was watching it for the first time. This film is surely a comfort film to me because i love the unfolding of the “truth” about this reality and world. I’d rather choose the red pill; the uncomfortable truth about the world and living freely than having comfort with ignorance because knowing truth is peace. This film has inspired me to research and study (in my free time) about the possible conspiracy theories like Plato’s or Robert Nozick’s which then ties to my beliefs and overall has gained me a strong and focused understanding of how everything works. This film is 2 hours long but i genuinely felt like it was at least 90-100 minutes. And the reason why this film so comforting to me is not because they only demonstrated truth but it validates the feeling that everyday life is tedious or fake, suggesting that your true potential is just waiting to be unlocked. And it also taps into the universal fantasy of escaping a mundane, overwhelming reality to discover you actually have a profound purpose and a loyal community or friends. Literally this film has changed my life significantly and will always be one of my favourite films. I also LOVE the distinct late-90s cyberpunk aesthetic, green digital rain, and cool leather outfits which creates a mysterious but badass setting.

YO THIS FILM WAS INSANE OMG. The animation and art, the action scenes and the storyline was so outlandish but immaculate. I watched this after finishing season 2 so i can watch it in the correct timeline. Omg the love between Yuta and Rika are so cute and inseparable, it resulted a very emotional ending but a happy one. Overall, this anime just keeps getting peak after peak like no wonder why this anime is so popular. THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING.

I was watching this at cinema which i was surprised they even screened this old movie. Well, this is going to be one hell of a review. I first discovered The Goonies on the television when i was around 8 years old and my mum mentioned that this was one of her favourite 80s movies back in the day. I fell in love with the movie and eventually it started my rudiment of pure adoration and passion for films. I love the themes of friendship and teamwork, bravery and loyalty, perseverance, greed and youth. The famous motto *“Goonies never say die!” *teaches us to keep pushing forward for your home and each other, even when things get scary or hard. A group of outcasts, misfits or you can call them underdogs coming up to the top to help people. I love that movie shows us that misfits can be a hidden superpower, proving that loyalty, resourcefulness and sticking together can overcome any obstacles, and that they can be special too, which really inspiring to me that being nerdy and unusual is valuable. And also that looks doesn’t matter, what matters the most is kindness and personality. In addition, i adored the performances these “not-so-now” kids and I genuinely chuckled to the comedy which is one of my favourite bits in the movie, it really did tie in the friendship. Every time I watch this, I always wonder how they made and filmed this phenomenon because this was perfectly and beautifully written and well executed. At the end of the movie, I've learnt that loyalty wins over wealth and greed (gold) and that the real treasure of the adventure is the friendship and trust they share. This movie has a place in my heart and dare I say one of my absolute favourite 80s movies. This movie gave me a sense of hope that i definitely needed and i want to persevere everything that i wish to do.
