Macbeth
Watched this in school when I was like 15 or something. I enjoyed it thoroughly, even though I was in an environment equivalent to being in the gulag, I still managed to enjoy it. It is the most accurate film to the play, and I've seen countless versions of Macbeth, including in theatres in random locations, such as on a hill in the middle of nowhere, and inside auditoriums, and this was probably my favourite. I stupidly passed up the opportunity to buy the Criterion version for a fiver in a shop, after spending around an hour sifting through CDs, and I went back the next week to never see it again, all because I bought tea instead. Rather Banquo of me, really, given the exact same opportunity as anyone else, and still managing to let it slip through my fingers by doing absolutely nothing about it. If you dislike this film you have to have the iq of a peanut. The acting is fantastic and so is the cinematography, its perfectly desolate/barren.
Disclaimer: if your English is shit do not watch this film because you will have to search up every other word they say since it's in early modern English.
